Andreas Bruckmüller (1853 - 1874)

He was an exceptionally multifaceted personality, which is reflected by his textbooks on agriculture, botany, chemistry and physics. In 1869, he published the first modern textbook of pathological zootomy in domestic animals.

Like his predecessor, he too was especially interested in epidemic diseases, their aetiology and pathogenesis. His contributions to the pathological-anatomical museum, which had been founded in 1850, were extensive (2762 specimens).
